Guided Whiskey Tasting

The price of a Guided Bourbon Tasting Experience varies based on several factors, including the number of participants, the types of whiskeys chosen for sampling, and any extra features of the event, such as personalized glassware. The base price for in-home tastings is $250, and for corporate events, it begins at $500. Please note that these prices are the starting price and do not cover the cost of whiskey for your event or any custom requests. Local travel beyond 30 miles from Zip Code 21703 will be calculated at standard Government mileage rates.

Each Whiskey Tasting Experience includes:

• A pre-event planning consultation via phone or Zoom/Google Meet to tailor the whiskey selections to your preferences, including whiskey style, number of selections, and budget.
• Assistance with the procurement of the whiskey for your event.
• Customized tasting aids tailored to your event, such as flavor wheels, tasting mats, and signage.
• A certified whiskey expert team (Executive Bourbon Steward & Whiskey University Credentialed) to lead the tasting, providing both entertainment and education.
• The knowledge that you hosted the best event of the year (or maybe ever)!

Every participant in a Bourbon Tasting Experience must be 21 years of age or older. It is the duty of the event host, whether an individual or a company, to ensure that all attendees meet this age requirement. Bourbon Blenders may ask for age verification from any participant we suspect does not fulfill the legal age criteria for alcohol consumption. 

The choice of whiskeys will be guided by your preferences and budget. Bourbon Blenders recommends a lineup of 4-5 whiskeys for the tasting, offering a balanced range for comparison without overwhelming participants. 

The length of an in-person Bourbon Tasting varies based on the event's structure, the guest count, and any extra features chosen to enhance the tasting experience. Generally, we find that at least two hours are necessary. For virtual tastings, we advise a duration of 1 to 1.5 hours, though we're flexible and can adjust to accommodate your schedule needs. 

Bourbon Blenders, based in Frederick, MD, offers services throughout the United States, both virtually and in-person, subject to availability. For in-person services beyond 60 miles, travel and lodging fees will be incurred. Travel within 30 miles of Zip Code 21703 is covered in the base price. We charge the standard government mileage rate for distances between 30 and 60 miles. Trips exceeding 60 miles necessitate lodging expenses, given the alcohol-related nature of our service.
